While bird-watching at Bolsa Chica State Beach in California, I captured an image of a Red Heron demonstrating its typical feeding behavior. The heron was running through the shallows, staggering sideways, and leaping into the air. It also raised one or both wings in a dramatic display. Observing the Red Heron’s energetic hunting technique was fascinating, showcasing its adaptability and skill in catching prey. Bolsa Chica's diverse ecosystem provided the perfect setting for witnessing such incredible avian behavior.
